Becoming who you truly are often means letting go of who you’ve been taught you’re supposed to be.

Thirteen years. That’s how long I spent exploring the world before I found my way to becoming a therapist. I sailed on boats, worked on a farm, lived in the jungle, studied yoga, experienced loss, fell in love and collected more questions about life than answers.

It wasn’t the conventional path. And that’s exactly what made it meaningful. Sometimes the most meaningful journey begins when you give yourself permission to question the path you’re on.

Maybe that’s why you’re here?

Perhaps you’ve spent years doing everything you were supposed to do—building a career, maintaining relationships, meeting expectations, trying to be the person everyone needs you to be.

Maybe you’re exhausted from pretending to have it all together. Maybe your relationships don’t fit the traditional mold, your mind works differently, or you’ve always felt like an outsider looking in.

Or perhaps you’re simply asking questions you can’t ignore anymore:

Who am I beneath all these expectations?

What do I actually want?

Is it too late to live differently?

I’ve spent much of my life exploring those questions, and I don’t believe there’s one right answer—or one right way to live.

Today, I help adults and couples navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity, and life’s deeper questions with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to challenge old assumptions.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

May we be kind and curious on the journey.

That’s more than a philosophy for me. It’s how I approach therapy and life. I believe meaningful change begins when we become curious about ourselves instead of constantly judging ourselves.

Why do we keep repeating certain patterns? Why do we stay in relationships or situations that no longer serve us? Why is it sometimes so difficult to trust ourselves, set boundaries, or make changes we know we need?

Together, we’ll explore those questions with compassion, honesty, and a willingness to look beneath the surface.

My approach is warm, collaborative, authentic, and sometimes a little unconventional. I bring mindfulness, curiosity, and a deep respect for your individual experience into our sessions. I’m also not afraid of humor, including the occasional dark joke or nerdy pop culture reference. Therapy doesn’t always have to feel serious to be meaningful.

I want you to feel comfortable showing up as your whole self—even the parts you’ve learned to hide, question, or apologize for.

Who I Work Best With

I especially enjoy working with adults and couples who are:

  • Navigating chronic anxiety, stress, or depression
  • Questioning their purpose, identity, or direction in life
  • Experiencing major life transitions or existential uncertainty
  • Healing from trauma or difficult past experiences
  • Exploring relationship patterns, intimacy, and boundaries
  • Seeking LGBTQIA+-affirming therapy
  • Navigating ethical non-monogamy or nontraditional relationship structures
  • Neurodivergent or exploring what neurodivergence means for them
  • Interested in mindfulness, self-discovery, and personal growth
  • Looking for a therapist who welcomes individuality rather than conformity

I have a particular appreciation for people who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood or pressured to fit into expectations that don’t reflect who they are.

You don’t have to explain away your differences here. We can explore and honor them together.

My Approach

I believe we’re more than our thoughts, emotions, or diagnoses. Our experiences are shaped by our bodies, relationships, communities, identities, histories, and beliefs.

That’s why I take a biopsychosocial-spiritual and systems-oriented approach to therapy. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we’ll explore the bigger picture of your life and how its different parts influence one another.

My work integrates parts work and somatic awareness. My years of studying yoga and mindfulness have deeply influenced how I understand healing. Sometimes growth begins not by trying harder to change ourselves, but by learning to notice our thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences with greater awareness and less judgment.

We’ll work together to develop practical tools while also making space for deeper reflection, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

A Bit More About Me

If my younger self could see me today, I think she’d be proud of the woman I’ve become. Not because I’ve figured everything out, but because I’ve continued to grow, question, explore, and evolve.

My journey has taken me across the world, through different communities and cultures, and eventually back to graduate school after 13 years of adventures. I earned my Master of Social Work in 2020, and I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings since then.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me practicing yoga, planning my next adventure, spending time with my cat, or exploring whatever new curiosity has captured my attention.

I’m still learning about myself. I’m still unpacking old beliefs, processing experiences, and discovering new possibilities. I don’t believe personal growth has a finish line. And I certainly don’t believe there’s only one right way to live a meaningful life.

The path forward started a long time ago, this is just the next step. If this resonates with you, I’d be happy to connect.
