Before becoming a therapist, I worked in victim services, supporting people whose lives had been turned upside down by crime and trauma. Part of my job was reading mental health records and seeing how therapy helped survivors heal, rebuild, and thrive. That experience opened my eyes to the power of therapy — not just to relieve pain, but to restore a sense of self and possibility.
My own journey deepened that understanding. Through my own individual and marriage therapy, I found the courage to leave an abusive relationship and eventually build a healthy, supportive marriage. Those experiences taught me that real change is possible — not because life gets easier, but because we learn to show up differently for ourselves.
Today, I bring that same belief into my work: that healing is both possible and practical, and that therapy can be a place to rediscover strength, clarity, and connection.
Drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I work with clients in a solution-focused way, emphasizing practical application through homework and a supportive accountability framework to empower them in making tangible progress. I am also trained in EMDR.
I love fun! I am always looking for fun things to do with my husband and kid. Currently, we are in our musical, improv, and stand-up comedy phase.
